What are great sights in London and France for an interior designer to check out?

I am an upland designer taking my first trip to london and paris next year. I want to get the most out of my experience there and hopefully gain some inspiration and experience that can be applied to my work. I want to know what are some "must see" sights in those cities that every interior designer must explore in those cities.

Prosper a short list of museums you want to see, either as architecture or interior design or for the art they show.
I think about the British museum, the Public gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, there are also museums that are more modern, either in building or in collection.

Or look through this list, more museums than you could speculation about:
http://www.londonnet.co.uk/museums/

Paris has a like collection of museums:
The Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Musée State du Moyen-Age; Thermes de Cluny, Musée national d'Art moderne - Centre Georges Pompidou to name a few, more can be found on this list/map:
http://www.paris.org/Maps/MM/
Or here: http://www.discoverfrance.net/France/Paris/Paris_museumlinks.shtml

If you are into classics, the venerable churches are famous for a good reason.
If you are into modern, the newest entertainment complexes will show you other peoples work, even when you do not even go to a show.

Next proceed towards a short list of Shops, department stores or specialist shops you know about and which you would like to see.
If you are into the cutting force of interior design, get some magazines and shortlist also some clubs or restaurants.

But do not forget to plan some time to enjoy being day-tripper, it is very annoying to go home and realize that you have not seen any of the things you would have visited if you did not have a plan.

What are some "must see" sights in London? How do I travel around London to see all of them?

I am visiting London for 3 days, and I be deficient in to know the best sights to see. How do I travel around London, by bus? Where would I buy the passes and such? Suggestions please?

Westminster Abbey
The Belfry
National gallery
British Museum
Natural History Museum

would top my list.
A tourist trap to escape in my opinion is Madame Tussauds (very expensive and very crowded)

The best way to get around by far are Travelcards or Oyster cards that you can get there.

Does anyone have suggestions for a 1 day walking tour to see the sights in London, UK?

My boyfriend and I are succeeding to London this weekend for about 4 days. I know that he would like to spend a day at the British Museum, but I would like at least one day to see the other sights like Buckingham Palatial home, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster Abbey, Parliament all in a day's walk. I'm sure there are some sights in between, but if you any suggestions for streets to take, "unique from the norm" sights and good restaurants good restaurants along the way, these would be greatly appreciated. If I can't get them all in 1 then perhaps I can finish the take one's ease the following day.

Hmmm.....
Take him to see the London Eye
Madam Tussuad's....
a mince in convent garden.....
Richmond.....
boat tour at Thames river.....well it's not a walk but could be fun if the rise above is good....

What are some real neat sights in London?

I'm not a close by, I'm from the States, and I have my bags packed for London. I noticed they have a leg up on modernization. Their Millenium Bridge is breath-taking, and so is their City Hall. I can't wait to see them, and I know there's more. What are some other must-sees in London?

The London Eye will give you a sound view of the entire City. Skip the wax museums -- they're tourist traps. The Tower of London is adept but be sure to get in on one of the Yeoman Warder tours. Covent Garden is great for shopping, and you should try to catch some of the street markets if you have a weekend morning untied; just try to get there early before things get too picked over. If you're into museums, the National Gallery is amazing (there's also a handsome little church, St. Martin in the Fields, right nearby and it's definitely worth popping in).

I am visiting London in February for 3 days. In this short time, what sights should I see?

I foresee on being in London for 3 days. It is my first time in London What are the traditional sights to see? What are the must visit locations, and which are worth skipping? Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Madam Tusseauds.
The London Eye (and the Aquarium, as they are valid next to each other).
St. Paul's cathedral.
Westminster Abbey.
Buckingham Palace (the inside will be closed to tourists though at this circumstance of year I think).
