satisfactorily at carnival time and go to the notting hill carnival thats great! some nights (not sure which ones youll have to look it up) youll find row skaters where a big party of rollerbladers will skate around london, just walk around everywhere! youll find some pretty amazing things down the less touristy places you cant ever actually get lost in london as if you walk around enough thell be a tube station around.
scotland is a bit far away for weekend trips unless you organize to fly. then its cold and wet most of hte time but still a really beautiful place to visit.
As it's growing to be sunny on Tuesday and Wednesday my friend and I are having two days on the theme of "summer" because we're so removed. On Tuesday we're going to the park and sunbathing etc. Then on Wedesday we're well, stuck.
We are wanting it to be cheap, and relaxed to get to. My friend lives in Croydon so if you'd be able to at least help with what sort of transport to take, that would be very helpful

I'm contemporary for 6 days, and we're staying in London! I have an idea of what I want to see... tower of London, changing of the guards, British museum, the London eye, etc. but I also privation to see Stonehenge and I don't mind doing a day trip or two to other places around London. Any suggestions?
Also what should I do on day #1? I'll probably be exhausted so I don't value I will hit any big sights. Help! Thanks

I am traveling to London and shortage to take a short trip outside (leave by car in the morning, drive back the next morning). Where is the best place to visit (max around 3-4 hours from london)? I'm looking for somewhere de facto beautiful and scenic, would like something quieter, and I'm not really interested in Stonehenge or Bath, so please don't support those.
I'd mention Wiltshire. You could stay in the attractive town of Marlborough and go hiling on the little known Marlborough Downs, the highlights of which are Oare Hill and Martinsell Hill; you can garden at the entrance to Martinsell Hill and walk accross to Oare Hill; the huge Savernake Forest is nigh unto to Marlborough too, as the wonderful thatched village of Wooton Rivers which is adjacent to the Kennet and Avon Canal. Objectively close to Marlborough are the ancient stones at Avebury - peaceful and untouristed compared to Stonehenge.
