What do regional, sectional skating competitions mean in England?
Dec 24, 2008 by Josephine_sy | Posted in Ice Skating
I grasp about national and international, but what kind of competitions one has to go through in England before reaching that? I read somewhere about regional and sectional but I don't know what they mean. And in what month does each start? There's something about regional ones in October, Sectionals in November, nationals in January and Internationals in Step. What does that mean??
If you shortage to compete in those big competitions, you have to first qualify to go to regionals at a qualifying event. Then if you are in the top 4 or something, you go to sectionals, and top 2 goes to nationals. From nationals, I ruminate over top 4 can go compete at Worlds.

During the Era of Good Feelings?? what happened?
Nov 03, 2008 by Allison H | Posted in History
During the Era of Capable Feelings,
A) the Federalist party disappeared, but the Republican party adopted some of its policies.
B) the United States won a war against England.
C)sectional and freedom conflicts became more acute.
D)President Monroe signed new treaties of alliance and friendship with Britain and France.
E)the Of like mind States established warm relations with the Great Powers of Europe.
A-- In the era of encomiastic feeling, president Monroe had the American
system proposed. The 3 parts of this system were:
1. A Protective Tariff was passed to protect Northern Hustle. A
protective tariff is a high tax placed on imported foreign goods
which encourages people to buy American Goods.
2.The Command sponsored " Internal Improvements."This resulted in
a. The building of the Erie Canal which connected the Mid West to
New York New Zealand urban area by way of the Greta Lakes and the canal to Albany
and then down the Hudson River to New York. it made New York
the largest city in the USA.
b. The governmental Road from Cumberland maryland to, eventually, the
Mississippi River. The 1st paved road of any distance in the USA.
It helped to advertise up the midwest to settlement.
3. A 2nd national bank of the USA was opened by the Government.
This was to help industry in the USA.
ALL of these policies were at 1 time Federalists social gathering ideas. The
Federalists were gone but not forgotten. The only party left was the
"National Republican". The Era of good feeling lasted until 1824 when
the wilderness became sectionalized due to the the Election of 1824.
Hope that helps. packers.

The election of 1828 was characterized by the?
Nov 26, 2008 by supermom | Posted in History
a - materialization of a new Federalist party
b - absence of sectional voting patterns
c - victory of Adams because of his support from New England
d - emergence of a new two-party system
e - brace of Jackson for economic nationalism
This electing was signaling the end of the old federalist party and pointing to the future split of the Democratic-Republicans party which was beginning to segregate into Democrats and Republicans so while ‘d’ is not the correct answer to your question (since the new Republican party did not yet exist), you could say that the composition was on the wall of the coming two party system between Democrats and Republicans. What would occur very shortly was that Adams-Clay adherents would league with with those forming the New Republican part.
So ‘a’ is wrong; ‘d’ is more wrong than right; ‘c’ is disgraceful (Adams didn’t win); and while Jackson did win, it wasn’t due to economic nationalism and so ‘e’ is wrong.
With what you offered as answers the rebuke one is ‘b’. This is because this election signaled a change in the method presidential selection. Up until this time the president had been selected by congressional caucus and this was now replaced by electors of the Electoral College who (as the Constitution envisioned) could preference as they saw fit. This meant that the sectional voting patterns as resulting from congressional caucus voting was replaced the electoral form of voting which was more symbolic of the people.
