London Vacation?
I started my vacation last week and I'll be here in London cash-drawer Friday, August 1st. I'm staying at a hotel near the Bayswater tube station. You guys were vindicate, it's pretty happening here. It has been so much fun but the American dollar is worthless. Next time I'll make sure I have access to more in clover or perhaps down scale my spending while in London.
So far, I've been to 3 plays, Stomp, Woman in Black and Billy Elliott. I really enjoyed Stomp, the performers have so much penchant and the energy is off the chain. I went to Sway, 24 London and Rex night clubs. I would say they are all about the same as in NYC. Lots of fun!
Now, this is where it gets a little damp. I have to tell you Londoners that many people here are very mean to outsiders, Americans. However, I realize that London is now a hodgepodge of people but it isn't the Brits who are unpleasant, it's the immigrants. I won't name nationalities but most people here have no manners and are not civilized. Why?
You are so in fairness and they really give us a bad name. I know exactly what you mean - and they are mainly rude to Americans and Londoners believe or not. I can't say the proper why - but I have my own theories. If you want to see "real London" head away from the tourist attractions (where most of the immigrants effort.) I hope you enjoy your stay.
Do you have any good London vacation plan to recommend?
I system to visit London for a week. Do you have any good London vacation plan to recommend?
Hah, I familiar tours4funās tours before and found they are very good tour provider. First, I want to say its price is very reasonable out of my imagination. The price is much cheaper than many sightsee agencies. I still remember that the tour guide was very gentle and friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable. So I strongly mention favourably you to use it. A tour I recommend to youāre here, hope it can be useful.

What is the best way to have cell phone service in London on vacation?
I'm growing to London for six weeks on vacation. What is the best way to have a cell phone in the UK? I have a US Nokia model on the AT&T network.
If your phone came with the AT&T commitment, it is most likely locked to only use an AT&T SIM card. You need to check if this is true, and if it is you will have to get it unlocked in order to use it elsewhere. Check phone and electronics stores to find someone that will do it.
You'll also need to corroboration the power capabilities of your phone, its input capabilities need to be 110-240 volts (I'm pretty unswerving most phones these days are). As long as it's universal voltage, you just need a plug adapter to exchange the physical shape of the plug. UK plugs look like this:

In the UK, you can pick up a pre-paid SIM card at any shop that sells phones. You don't need a contract (it's pay-as-you-go) and you can use your own phone, provided it's not locked. If you only necessity it for local calls, it doesn't matter much which network you use. If you want to make international calls, uphold to the person working there about your options. There are special network calls that give discounts internationally. When you run out of money on the card, there are multiple ways to name it up again (they'll tell you when you get the SIM).
I used Orange when I lived in the UK, but there are many networks to choose from:

Is Canary Wharf a good location for a London vacation?
I'll be in London Christmas week, and there seems to be more options in Canary Wharf than elsewhere. I am looking to rental a nice apartment instead fo staying in a hotel.
it will be inert quiet xmas week, canary wharf is the centre of the business district and everybody will be on there holidays.
stop in the west end, you will have a lot more fun, as for an apartment for a week, that may be hard to find and if you do it will be well expensive (especially in canary wharf)
For those who have been to London: What part of the city is the best to stay in for vacation?
