Are there many hawks that live in southern New England states? Such as Connecticut?
Apr 02, 2008 by tricky706 | Posted in Zoology
A co workman of mine is scared to let her dog go outside on the porch by himself fo fear that a hawk will swoop him up. (her dog is a little bitty lap dog) We live in southern Connecticut and I solely don't think hawks are ANYTHING to be concerned about in this area.
In New England a youthful dog might have to worry about a hawk. A Red-tailed Hawk preys on rodents squirrels and rabbits. A very small dog is in this size fluctuate.
At night a Great-horned Owl is certainly capable of taking a small dog.
That said a lot depends on habitat. If you endure in an urban area you probably do not have many Red-tailed Hawks. (In spite of the fact that they nest in New York city along Central Commons) Red-tails like to have some wooded area with tall trees.
Other than the Red-tail and the Great-horned Owl, other endemic raptors do not predicate a threat to your friends dog.

John Kerry did suitable in Vietnam. Two tours of duty. If your ship is in dangerous waters you receive a ribbon. President Bush served none. His beneficial hour would not allow it. Clinton did not serve. Neither did Bill O'Reilly. They both spent time in England. The biggest hawk, (VP Cheney)of them all had five deferments granted to him. I had none. USMC. 1968-71
I enlisted. As far as I identify the Marines did not draft during the Vietnam conflict. John Kerry served on a Swift boat and he served on a naval ship(Cruiser I think) for five months.) in South Vietnam territory. Democrats have the only medal of honor of winner in their ranks. Senator Bob Kerrey of Nebraska. He should have been president, not the fiddle around that we do have.
They don't stand in want someone else to get all their money. John Kerry was just a poor scum back then, all his money he married. But he was still ugly back then. I mean FUGLY.
Clinton impartial sucks, both of them.
Dubya, well, if your daddy runs the CIA....
Cheney, well, who knows.
Where does Bill O'Reilly fit in here?
I did not serve in Vietnam. I am Straight off. I was around but not quite old, enough, actually. I did manage to catch Grenada, Honduras, and the first Gulf Thingy. I was not a Jarhead. Army.

Why has stephen hawking's computer speecgh thing sound like an american, when hes actually from england??
May 16, 2008 by luke hamilton | Posted in Physics
homily**
you know the thing he uses to speak..
Hi Luke,
I have a old china who was recently diagnosed with ALS. We looked into using his own voice in the computer program, but the cost was rediculous...$300K, and the time required was hugh. As so many have correctly said, the program was instance done in the US, and ANY voice change is expensive. I suppose that the accent was not important enough to Prof. Hawking to pay out that extra money.
