Who are the people who came before Queen Elizabeth 1 who helped pave the way for England?

My advisor asked us to research about the 4 or 5 important people who can helped Queen Elizabeth 1 to make England successful? They came before her is the clue..
Can Thomas Cromwell, Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn be considered respected?

1. Henry VIII. As her pa a very powerful influence. As a man "larger than life" the people expected his children to be as powerful as he was. Nothing was too much for her to commit oneself and no matter however small was not to be overlooked. And much like her father and likely her mother, she had little tolerance for fools.

2. Anne Boleyn. The mummy she hardly knew and much maligned by the people of England. I think she always wanted to show England that Anne Boleyn's child was good.

3. Mary I of England. Her half sister was a cruel Queen. Elizabeth was able to see first hand how the mistreatment of people affects the native land.

4. Prince Philip of Spain, husband of Mary 1. Elizabeth was able to see how her life would be if she married. In fact after the eradication of Mary 1, Prince Philip made it quite clear that he wished to marry Elizabeth. Many potential suitors were considered and rejected. Elizabeth chose as a substitute for to "marry" her country and rule unencumbered by a husband.

5. Her teachers. Elizabeth's first governess, Lady Margaret Bryan, wrote that she was “as toward a neonate and as gentle of conditions as ever I knew any in my life”. At the age of four, Elizabeth passed into the care of Catherine Champernowne, better known by her later, married name of Catherine “Kat” Ashley, who remained Elizabeth’s girl for life. Champernowne clearly made a good job of Elizabeth’s early education: by the time William Grindal became her tutor in 1544, Elizabeth could detract English, Latin, and Italian. Under Grindal, a talented and skilful tutor, she also progressed in French and Greek. After Grindal died in 1548, Elizabeth received her information under Roger Ascham, a sympathetic teacher who believed that learning should be fun. By the time her formal education ended in 1550, she was the paramount educated woman of her generation.

best of luck to you!

Elizabeth 1??

was Elizabeth 1 of England considered engaging? she was the virgin queen and all.
I know - random question - but I was wondering this for a while.

No, she was not considered fetching. People loved her but just didn't find her attractive. She had a warm personality but looks is the area she lacked in. A few men hew down for her but it didn't work out. She fell for more men that actually fell for her so she just learned to keep her feelings to herself and keep her pride to order her country. (:

What did queen elizabeth 1 contribute to england?

When you fill please give a source!!!
PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!

One of her most worthy achievements was to settle the religious question. When she became Queen, the majority of the population outside of London and the south-east were still General. Although she settled the Church of England as the state religion, with herself as Supreme Governor of the Church, she allowed a certain degree of rigorous tolerance, and did not inquire too closely into people's private beliefs.

She encouraged trade and overseas exploration, which led to England becoming a noteworthy world power. Explorers like Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake made England into a great seafaring polity.

When the spanish Armada sailed to attack England in 1588, the Queen put courage into her troops with her inspirational speech to them at Tilbury, one of the highlights of her be.

During the later part of her reign, the English theatre blossomed, and William Shakespeare wrote many of his finest plays. The Sovereign was a discerning though not particularly generous patron of the theatre, and had plays performed before her at Whitehall Palace.

how was this event significant in shaping the modern world?

( i just need a few bright facts for cause, effect and how was this event significant in shaping the modern world?)

i already have some info but i just insufficiency a few more quick facts

In 1558 Elizabeth was the last surviving newborn of Henry VIII. Her brother, Edward VI, who succeeded Henry, was sickly and died at a very young age after a short control. Mary likewise died of illness after only a few years on the throne. This was not an uncommon thing in those days. For a time Elizabeth's virtue to inherit the throne had been revoked (following the execution of her mother, Anne Boleyn), but they were eventually restored.

The paramount change from Mary's reign was that Mary was Catholic but Elizabeth was Anglican. The Catholics therefore lost favor in England and restrictions were placed on their skill to worship. This was also a motivation for Philip II to form an armada in 1588 to invade England and restore Catholicism. The destruction of most of the Spanish naval task force in the war and the long return to Spain began the decline of Spanish power and influence in Europe and first established England as the sphere's major sea power.

Was Elizabeth 1 of England...?

I'm doing a Area History report and I have to answer a question that just seems to have no straight answer. Was Elizabeth the 1st head of the legal system of England?

Yes! She could well overturn any decision made by the top legal court of Britain, the House of Lords. The only limitation on her legal power was the Magna Charta. (In diverge to monarchs of France who could say, like Louis XIV, "L'etat cest moi"---'I am the status', which meant he was the full arbiter of the law, with no limits on his power.)
