A visa is a relationship for a document that allows you to be in a country for a long time but still on a temporary basis. You will most defifinitely need a passport. Your greencard will not effort for this.
The rules about how long you can stay in a country on just your passport vary.
This questionnaire may be helpful, it's about if you constraint a UK visa and if you do which kind.

What should we visit in Great Britain?
My students are prevailing to Great Britain this spring. I'm looking to visit something related to information technology. Any suggestions?
Two more details:
- The students are about 17-18 years old. (Born 89)
- In my first place I said "related to information technology." I guess computer technology is a better description of what we necessitate to see.
Technique museum London. Also try to speak to someone at Imperial college, just five minutes up the road, they are big into all kinds of technology there.
what are the best places to visit in Great Britain as a British tourist give your opinions and reasons for?
your notion please thanks
Any of the Governmental Parks but the higher the better. Or up into the Scottish highlands. Get totally away from the rat-race.
How long can I stay in Great Britain to visit with a Canadian passport?
On access you will be granted a visa for stay as a tourist for 6 months. If you want to stay longer you may have other options, you can email me on Jessica.Stooke@Visalogic.net if this is the suit.
Please note that changes have been proposed that will reduce the period from 6 months to 3 months so if you are travelling later in the year or next year you should also find out before you go.
