Is Britain a coarser place to live than before 1945?
Has human being in the British life become coarser and uglier since the war? I mean coarser in reference to all aspects of life: manners, artistic savoir faire, educational level, social attitudes, music, food, the press, attitudes to foreigners, and everything that constitutes "lifestyle".
I´d markedly appreciate answers from older Answerers.
Yes people swore, bloody and bugger but it was only the lowest of the low who occupied sexual oaths. As a lad in the forties I could walk home from a dance or a date in the early hours of the morning and the only yourselves who would stop you would be a policeman who would ask you politely what you were doing at that time and you would go on your way, if you cheeked him, you were liable to get a clip round the ear, and if you told your dad , he'd give you one as well. As for drinking people old to get drunk but they rarely got fighting drunk.

For those of you who want "FACTS" and "FIGURES" and have the cleverness to judge 'GOOD' from 'EVIL' and the courage to know and say out the TRUTH....for the doss down you should stop here!
Ever since the United States Army massacred 300 Lakotas in 1890, American forces have intervened elsewhere around the orb 100 times. Indeed the United States has sent troops abroad or militarily struck other countries' patch 216 times since independence from Britain. Since 1945 the United States has intervened in more than 20 countries throughout the world.
Since Smashing War II, the United States actually dropped BOMBS ON 23 COUNTRIES. These include: China 1945-46, Korea 1950-53, China 1950-53, Guatemala 1954, Indonesia 1958, Cuba 1959-60, Guatemala 1960, Congo 1964, Peru 1965, Laos 1964-73, Vietnam 1961-73, Cambodia 1969-70, Guatemala 1967-69, Grenada 1983, Lebanon 1984, Libya 1986, El Salvador 1980s, Nicaragua 1980s, Panama 1989, Iraq 1991-1999, Sudan 1998, Afghanistan 1998, and Yugoslavia 1999.
Well, I am a experiences-bug.... I believe strongly that people should be cognizant of all past(historical) events and causes leading up to them and etc etc. I am also a condensed believer that history repeats itself as it is doing right today. I know also that in our American schools(not in African schools, etc) that Telling is being squeezed out of our American schools and in those schools that still have some history, it is slowly being squeezed out... The reason why? I do not know but it is part.. only part of the pretext why the American school system is far below the standards of such countries as India, China, Japan, Germany, etc.. It is a very very serious situation that we are facing in the U.S.
