London School of Economics and the Universities of Edinburgh, Manchester, Southampton and Glascow?

I actual in America, but am very interested in studying at any one of those schools for college. I plan on studying archaeology, anthropology, human geography, cosmopolitan studies, world economics, etc. (any subject in that sort of field). I get very good grades, but bomb multiple choosing tests. I'll ace an essay test, but just can't do multiple choice. What are the chances that I have of getting into those schools?
whoops that should say Gasgow lol!
GAH typo again! Glasgow!

I'm a American getting a masters at LSE. Don't certain about applying for undergrad, but the school takes a lot of year abroad students and hordes of US masters students. On the plus side the school doesn't order you to take the GRE for most grad programs, and may not require any standardized tests for undergrad either.

A few general thoughts:

London is EXTREMELY expensive.
The school also doesn't have an traditional campus-- it's just a couple of buildings in the middle of London. It has dorms but they're spread out all over London. In other words if you yearning to have the typical college experience, this may not be the best place to go.
Also in British undergrad degree programs you study one theme and only one subject. If you don't know what you want to major in yet, do your undergrad in the states and then apply for a masters.

What is my chance of getting into the London School of Economics?

It sounds as if you've got moderately impressive grades (I doubt they will care much about your GPA since in the UK, all they're interested in is the actual exam results of your final year at school) and your strikingly-curricular activities are diverse. I think you could increase your chances by both consulting a careers advisor for advice and to email the uni itself to see what they would imply can help secure a place.

How selective is the London School of Economics (undergrad) and what are my chances of being admitted?
