How long does it take to go from London Heathrow Airport to London Capital.?
I would disburse 15 hours between my 2 flights n i need suggestions on what to do.
The time needed for security checks n immigration would also be practical.
You should take the piccadily route (purple) from the heathrow tube station. It would probably take atleast one hour each side to central London depnding on the train traffic and depending on which tube position you want to get off at. And as far as the immigration process is concerned its always unpredictable. Sometimes there are no lines and you go straight away to the immigration officers and sometime there are elongated queues. This I am talking when you land at Heathrow. And when you come back to the airport from Central London to take your flight there are definitely long queues at the guaranty checks. Be prepared for that. So lets assume 2 hours each side at the security and immigration, 2 hours for the tube traverse (assuming you are taking the tube) so 15 hours - 4 hours= 11 hours I think you should have more than enough of time to kill in London and even if you loose some time at security or in tube travel then if not 11 then 8,9,10 hours are also adequate time to explore something in London. Piccadilly interline goes through the heart of Central London. All the major attractions are on this line or at walking distances. You can buy a day travel card valid for all zones from Zone 1 to Zone 6. And at any status you can change lines without even buying a new ticket and this card allows you unlimited travel on trains and tubes in London for a day. I would approve you to buy a double decker bus tour ticket it would take you to all the sights and you can hop on and hop off with one single ticket. This will save you the time and you pretty much see all bigger sights in London such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Tower of Lonodn etc. etc. other then the Museums ofcourse for which you surely need time.
What would be the UK's second capital if London had to be abandoned due to a natural disaster?
In the end that the UK couldn't be governed from London due to an emergency such as floods or other natural disasters which city would be used for government? I credence in that Oxford was used during the civil war

how much london travelcards (including First Capital Connect Trains) cost?
I necessity to travel to Hatfield, Herts, daily from London.
I think i need a travelcard by First Capital Connect Trains but i cant find online anywhere how much does it fetch for ,a month ,or 3 months and so on?
A day travelcard (off zenith) is £14, peak is £18.50. That's just for one day, the website won't tell me for any longer. The station organization and ticket machines there will be able to tell you.
Why do people think that you have to live in a London Postcode to live in the Capital?
60% of Greater London is case a London postcode ie. Surbiton is KT6; Pinner is HA5 ect. Whilst it is true that all of these areas are posted under their historical counties ie. Middlesex, Surrey ect., it doesn't far-out that they are now, it is just that the Royal Mail didn't see any point in changing the postal address to London. None of these places are now seperate towns or are of seperate stature, apart from being seperate London boroughs. They are merely suburbs of the capital city, Greater London. An analogy could be that Bournemouth was formerly in Hampshire, however it became part of Dorset in 1973. Nobody I have ever met in Bournemouth thinks it is in Hampshire now, yet even life-force long residents of these outer London areas think they still live in say, Surrey, although that ceased being in 1965. Shouldn't Ken Livingstone cause a point of telling people where they actually live and the status of Greater London? (If only Westminster/City is city then even SW2 isn't London either).
