All I can see that he did from his wikipedia page is sign the Magna Carta. Surely that's a good thing?! (if you accept in democracy)
.l Have in mind king John was unfairly judged by history. He was regent for Richard(the lion hart)who was king.Richard was born in France and died in France.Where he is buried.lt was Richard's philandering that caused Regent John to force unpopular taxes.Even later when Richard was ransomed by Saladin.lt was King John who had to raise this enormous release.Which bankrupted England.Richard returned to England, thanked John and the court, then left for his beloved France Funnily enough Richard is remembered as a honesty a possessions king. He'd be lucky if he spent two years of his entire life there,All he did was fight crusades and live far at the expence of the English people.Poor John had to bankroll him. He Richard was probably the worst king of England. With the blaim falling on his investor. John
does that hope the Bible approves of such things as unmarried couples living together, severely disable babies being put to death at origin, which the Church of England approves of?
It took 150 years to get a Bible that wasn't as strict at the Geneva Bible. It immortalized the homage of King James, as he prevented the men working on it from being put to death as was required by the Roman Catholic Church for anyone trying to overhaul the Bible.

The day the Church allows, justifies or excuses villainous behaviour is the day God will distance himself from it & ultimately it will disappear into oblivion.
I tried wikipedia, and it's got nothing productive... I don't know where else to look...
I've tried Ask, and I've no luck there... If someone finds out anything about him I'll automatically pick them as the with greatest satisfaction answer to this question...
You answered your own doubtlessly in your question. Saxons are from Saxony, which is part of Germany today.

When did England get their authorization of religion?
King James the First?

Please do not put wikipedia!!!
Thank You
I am vexing to find a song I heard in the movie about Henry Purcell called England, My England. Horrible movie but the music, I assure you, is not. I don't call to mind a consider I can really rely on the movie for historical facts, but the song, according to the movie is one of his first compositions from when he was a child. According to wikipedia, his first identifiable layout was written for the King's birthday. It is an ode and also a solo.
If it's by Purcell, it should be in the Purcell Unexcited Works, which your nearest college library should have. if I were at work (instead of home sick) I could look up the volume.
This assumes that you're looking for the issue music rather than a recording. Hyperion did a set of all Purcell's songs and it should be on there.
