Thinking of Islington, London for a home exchange. Is that a good place to spend 3 weeks w/ 12yr?
We have a gamble a accidentally to do a home exchange for 3 weeks in Islington, London near the Archway tube stop. Is that a decent spot to dissipate 3 weeks seeing London and nearby other attractions. I don't want to find my 12 year old daughter and I in a bad situation for 3 weeks!
it's a reputable place to see attractions and there's a variety of housing in the area, so I think you'll be fine, your 12 year old will not be prevailing into a bad area, I hope you have a nice 3 weeks!

Whats the best way to travel from lowestoft to islington?
Whats the get the better of way to travel from lowestoft, suffolk to the business design centre,Islington, N1 0QH ? Ive been told it would be best to drive to the outskirts of london and get the tube for the relax of the way in? ive got no idea!! We need to be there by about 9am and depart after 5pm.
In fairness...two options, train or drive then tube!
If you choose to drive i recommend driving to Stratford and leaving your car there. Lock enough to minimise your time on the tube but cheap enough to avoid congestion charges and hefty parking costs!
There is also the court which will take about 2hours45mins ...as someone above said, you need to change at ipswich. The first train is the 05:36 which arrive at london liverpool byway someone's cup of tea for 08:23 which leaves you plenty of time to get to islington as its very close.
Personally i would take the train if there are no planned engineering works when you are touring. However travelling at peak times can be expensive. If you want the cheaper fare (Cheap day return ticket) you will want to wait until the 19:32 direct train home. This will cost you £42 whereas if you wish to depart london earlier (5pm-6:30pm) your profit ticket will cost £76!!!!
It also depends how much you enjoy driving. For such a long journey, maybe travelling on the train will be a bit larger for you, whichever you prefer!
