What do you think of the local Labour party in Haringey closing ranks and keeping mum about the baby p case?
Nov 17, 2008 by Arthur B | Posted in Current Events
If this is so then every solitary Labour council member in Haringey deserves to be treated with contempt by their constituencies.
Ketkonen:You are right, I am of course penmanship about baby Peter a lovely little boy killed by loathsome animals.
Well it’s a bit last for all that; as the whole Country know of the horrific details and how this child was failed by everyone. They can try and cover up and waffle with facts and figures but it will not reprieve blatant incompetence and for once I don’t think it will go their way and heads will have to roll…
How come another child in Haringey has been murdered by his mother?
Aug 13, 2007 by jizzi | Posted in Other - News & Events
Policewomen have launched a murder probe into the death of a 17-month-old boy north of London and have enlisted child malediction officers to aid in the investigation, police said on Sunday.
A 25-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suggestion of murder following the death of the child on August 3 at North Middlesex Hospital, Enfield, north London.
They were bailed during further investigation and have not been charged but are due to see police later in the month.
The child had been taken to the hospital and died later that day of his injuries, a spokesman for Scotland Yard said.
He declined to deliberate over the boy's injuries.
"The death is being treated as suspicious. Officers from the Child Abuse Investigation Earn are investigating," the police spokesman said.
The boy lived in the area covered by the social services rest on in the London borough of Haringey, which was heavily criticised for failing to save the life of Victoria Climbie.
Social services & CAIT noteworthy job!
The identity of the dead child is not being disclosed to protect the identity of his siblings.
News of the death comes after a boyish mother and her partner were jailed for life on Friday for murdering her four-year-old daughter after subjecting the child to horrific revilement.
Sharon Wright, 23, and Peter McKenzie-Seaton, 22, were found guilty at Bradford Crown Court of death Leticia Wright, who was found naked and suffering multiple injuries, including to her head and abdomen, equivalent to a critical road traffic accident.
A spokesman for Kirklees Council in Huddersfield, where the child lived, defended its handling of the happening, which included a review carried out by an independent professional, but conceded that certain aspects could "have been handled differently".
i grasp it breaks my heart to think that these children must have cried themselves to sleep wondering why mummy doesn't turtle-dove them and why they hurt them so badly, why can't these stupid b!tches just dump the kids at a police station or sanitarium and just say they don't want them anymore and let someone else who would love them have them, social services are far too slow to act, they would rather work through the problem with the parents and keep the juvenile in the home, it is madness, any child at risk should be removed immediatley and more resources need to be available to make certain that they go to capable, loving foster parents until a proper home can be found, it makes me mad how the council can knock 2 homes into one and refuburbish it for the allotment dosers who have 12 kids by their own choosing yet cant provide a larger house for a loving couple who could take on these poor maltreated children but dont have the room. how can any person let alone a mother murder, abuse or torture their own child, it really is beyond me, very upsetting indeed.

Will Haringey council be stupid enough to offer Shoesmith compensation?
Dec 01, 2008 by Arthur B | Posted in Current Events
This maidservant has been sacked for gross dereliction of duty, I hope that Haringey council don't dare think of offering her any compensation.
fancy they don't but then again they kept her there for so long when she should have been sacked when this happened!!
