Why is there such disparity between Crude and Brent oil prices?

On Friday’s fast, London Brent was trading at $45.17 and New York’s WTI at $37.07 a barrel. That equates to a difference of over $8 or, in other words, Brent is trading at almost 22% higher than WTI.
One would have prospect the market fundamentals for both would be relatively the same. Hence, why the large difference in price?

"Factual now, in an unusual market trend, West Texas crude is selling for much less than inferior grades of crude from other places around the magic. A severe economic downturn has left U.S. storage facilities brimming with it, sending prices for the premium vulgar to five-year lows...
The recession in America has dramatically cut demand for crude oil, and inventories are piling up. So prices for West Texas blunt have fallen well below what oil costs from places like the North Sea, Saudi Arabia and South America.
That foreign oil sells in some cases for $10 more per barrel — and that doesn't even incorporate shipping.
Brent North Sea crude, which feeds some East Coast refineries — and therefore winds up at many gas pumps around America — now costs about $7 more per barrel than the West Texas undeveloped. Deutsche Bank analysts say the trend should continue.
Historically, West Texas International crude has charge more. So nobody bothered building the necessary pipelines to carry it beyond the nearby refineries in the Midwest, parts of Texas and a fistful of other places.
Now that the premium oil is suddenly very inexpensive, refiners elsewhere can't get their hands on it.
"It's so cheap," said Lynn Westphall, the chief VP of external affairs at San Antonio-based Tesoro, which owns a half dozen refineries on the West Seaboard and Hawaii. "But you can't just build a pipeline to everywhere. We know we can't get it."
Tesoro's refineries in North Dakota and Utah use locally drilled oil and Canadian oil, which also has been ceaseless about $10 more per barrel than West Texas crude.
So why not build more pipelines? Because investing billions of dollars over several years makes no have when the prices could just flip a year from now to where they were before.
"How long is WTI going to be cheaper than Venezuelan oil? Than Canadian?" asked Charles T. Drevna, president of the Chauvinistic Petrochemical and Refiners Association. "You just don't build a pipeline like that..."

How to be a speculator on brent oil prices?

i am holding a bosom fund of USD100,000. I intend to buy brent oil contract and hope for oil price appreciation. How do I go about starting it?
I can raise another USD100,000 to multiply the investment size. I live in Malaysia, any advice of doing it in South East Asia or Hong Kong is ripping,. pls recommend the right commodity exchange, or large financial institution who are willing to accept me as investor.
Brent trades on the ICE (Intercontinental The Exchange) which was formerly the IPE (International Petroleum Exchange of London). You can also trade WTI (West Texas Intermediate crude) on the ICE.
You have occasion for to find a futures brokers that deals in North Sea Brent. Call them up and ask if they carry the contracts. Or contact the ICE at www.theice.com and get information on the particulars for trading in Brent rough.
But I caution you, futures trading is very high risk. Yes, you may have US$100,000, but you could very quickly lose it all and more if you don't know what you're doing. Do your due diligence before you get into trading energies. They are enthusiastically leveraged and extremely volatile instruments, so use extreme caution.

Situation your opinion. IN my opinion I agree with charles and kenny smith in that brent barry did not sale the foul. He got fisher up in the air but did not cow into fisher to make the foul more convincing. Questionable, which is why the referee did not call it. Good effort by the spurs. Good accident in the future. But...Lakers! Championship here we come!
