What accent does the country London use?
I heard the people living in london have a british articulation....is that true?
London is not a country. People in London most often have a London mark although there are people who speak with a middle class Received Pronunciation and also those who use a Cockney accent, among many other kinds of accent. The chic accent with younger people is London or Estuary English.
What late 80s or 90s movie about WWI or II where London kids went to a house in the country?
I tip seeing it, but it was a long time ago. At one point, in the country house on a pond, they were in a row boat when a bomb landed in the water. Next feature they know all the fish are dead and floating, but they think it's funny...

GB is not trying to front themselves in the same manner as the Chinese...GB has been there, done that and has got the tee-shirt before.
China, Godbless them are trying to show the world that they are (fatiguing!!) to move away from the old shackles of communism...the success of which will not be THEIR success in the Games, more how the rest of the world views the sure outcome of the event and as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, it is almost a tragically political parody! (?)
They have to win loads of medals... country-wide prestige is a stake...
They have athletes that can win them but the training that these people have been through is a tad different to the training ours go through....and I'm not going that route!!!!!!

Will Scotland be an independent country by London 2012?
They are planning to have a referendum by 2010 so it might be realizable.
Legally however Westminster has the final call so they could pull the rug out from under the Scots for the sake of the Olympics 2012...do you think the English would do that to protect face?
Theoretically, Scotland could try and get their Citizen Olympic Committee recognized by the IOC so that they can compete separately.
Puerto Rico and Guam both compete independently from the USA, but both are territories of the Coalesced States. They have their own NOCs that have been recognized by the IOC. Chinese Taipei (also known as Taiwan) also competes separately from China, but their self-government is in dispute.

P.S.....You are being hired as a receptionist but not to complete papers or answer phone calls. You are probably being hired because some British guy wants to take advantage of you sexually because "he's heard that Filipinas are honesty a possessions in the sack". Take that with a grain of salt and realize that there are people in the world that will take advantage of the economic unbalance and cultural traits you as a Filipina portray.
Once you get there, you will probably think you have no choice but to stay in the horrible position. Find some other job, Pinay.
