Can I get funding for an English Teaching course in England?
Aug 04, 2008 by furakku | Posted in Teaching
I am redundant and recovering from illness and would like to do a English Teaching course so I can work/volunteer to teach English to the many immigrants in England. I have read an article stating that only ONE ourselves was successful in recieving Government funding for this type of course, even though they do fund many other courses. This could give people a chance to teach English either in England or in foreign lands if they want to support themselves while they visit their family. Is it possible to get funding to do a TEFL, TESOL or CELTA course?
Yes - you can get funding to do a Cert Ed and PGCE in prop compulsory education - which is what you would need to teach this type of student. You do, however, need to secure a number of teaching hours to undiminished the course. I suggest you contact your local colleges, find out who offers the course you need and then ask them about grants etc. Remember you now sine qua non to do a year long ESOL course to teach in the UK - the 1 month course is no longer sufficient unless you are reasoning of moving abroad. (You may also be entitled to a Golden Hello after your first year of qualified teaching - I was). Good success rate!

english course in England...:) ??? help?
Oct 13, 2008 by LoveBites | Posted in Studying Abroad
do you remember any schools in england (prefer north england)(such as Liverpool etc) where are english courses for foreigner. i dont mean study but just learn english in england because i dream up this is the best way to learn english.
thanks for help:)
you don't say what age you are or how sustained you want to study.
If you live in England then you can get free education in a local school till your 16.
If you want a summer a university or language school then follow the link, but be care-full because these are not always high quality or they can be fun but expensive for fees, lots of prosperity kids who want to mess about rather than learn.
Your local colleges will have English language courses for beginners, foreign speakers and those defective qualifications.
Some of the best sites are British Council zones or IELTS materials online.
