Why does the BBC weather map of Britain show England on a different scale to Scotland?
If you look at the map it seems as if the distances between places in England is more than places the same detach apart in Scotland. I appreciate that it depends on the projection used for the map and the curvature of the earth - but why does it seem to be centred on the south of England ?
Because according to the BBC, Northern affairs are unimportant and Southern affairs are. They put this is not so by explaining that 'it follows the natural curvature of the Earth'. I personally think this is utter refuse, and is instead the BBC hitting back at Northerners who watch too much ITV (idiots' television).
