What did poorer people wear in 19th century England?

I am handwriting a novel, and the first part of it is set in 19th century england, and the main character is in poverty, and I was wondering what types of clothing did they wear then. Any information or references, or resources would be a colossal help.
Agriculturist type clothing. Dirty tunics, and worn pants. But no fancy vests or jackets.

The nineteenth century was a term of enormous change in England. the Industrial Revolution changed people's work and living patterns, as people moved to the towns to line in factories and mills. In 1800, about 75% of the population lived in the country and only 25% in the towns. By 1900, those figures had been reversed, with 75% living in burgh and only 25% in the country.
It was an age of inventions, throughout the century amazing inventions were produced in transport, railways ,steam ships, and ultimately the motor car were all invented this century. The telegraph, the telephone, and the phonograph (later gramaphone) were all invented in this century. And of course photography, and at the end of the century the very primitive beginnings of cinema.
There was political change. In 1833, the Reform Bill extended the franchise so that more men could vote, and during the course of the century other change extended the vote to still more men. The campaign for women's sufrage began. The married women's assets Act gave women control of their own property and earnings even after marriage. The divorce laws were also changed so that women too could sue for break-up.
women's education began to be taken more seriously, and schools for girls opened, also women's colleges.
There were many discoveries in physic, antiseptics and anaesthetics were both invented in this century, and florence Nightingale transformed the nursing profession and made it respectable, and improved conditions in hospitals enormously. the dungeon reformer elizabeth Fry camapaigned in the earlier part of the century for improved conditions in prisons, espeically for women and children.
The Mill Acts improved working conditions for those who laboured in the factories, often in very grim condition, and various acts during the order of the century raised the age at which children could start work, and made provision for education for poor children.
Queen Victoria was ruler of Britain for most of the nineteenth century, she became Leading light in 1837, and remained Queen until 1901. During her reign Britain's possessions overseas greatly increased, and when all is said she was made Empress of india.
The nineteenth century was a fascinating and exciting time in England, and a period of enormous changes.
